Privacy Policy
Who is responsible
I am Andreas Emanuel Söderlund, trading as Andreas Emanuel, organisation number 920 710 077. I am responsible for the personal information used to run andreasemanuel.com and handle enquiries, orders and newsletter subscriptions.
Contact: contact@andreasemanuel.com · Kaibrekko 6, 5365 Turøy, Norway.
Enquiries and orders
When you contact me, I use your name, contact details and message to reply. Enquiries about a possible purchase are handled to take steps towards an agreement with you. Other correspondence is handled on the basis of my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact the studio.
For orders, I use your contact, billing and delivery details, order information and relevant payment records to arrange payment, delivery, returns and customer service. This is necessary to fulfil our agreement. Records required for bookkeeping are kept to meet Norwegian legal obligations.
Payments and service providers
The website, shop, forms and newsletter are provided through Wix. Online payments are handled through Stripe or PayPal, depending on the option you choose. They process the payment details; I receive the transaction information needed to manage your order and records.
I use Google Workspace, administered through Wix, for email and Fiken for bookkeeping. Delivery details needed to send your order are shared with Posten Norge and the carriers involved in delivery.
Providers may process information on my behalf. Payment and delivery providers may also use information for their own services, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Their own privacy notices explain this processing.
Studio newsletter
If you subscribe, I use your email address to send news from the studio and information about new work. This is based on your consent. Buying a work or sending an enquiry does not by itself subscribe you.
You can unsubscribe through the link in each newsletter or by contacting me. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew it.
Website operation and cookies
Technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, is processed to deliver the website and help protect it from misuse. My legitimate interest is to operate a functioning, secure website.
Essential cookies support the website’s core functions. Optional analytics require your consent. Use the cookie banner to accept all cookies, decline optional cookies or choose your settings.
Processing outside the EEA
Some of the service providers operate internationally and may process information outside the European Economic Area. The protection and transfer arrangements depend on the provider and the service. You can contact me for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.
The providers’ privacy information is linked below.
How long information is kept
Routine enquiries that do not lead to a purchase are deleted within 12 months after the conversation has ended, unless an ongoing matter requires the correspondence.
Order records required for bookkeeping are kept for the statutory retention period, normally five years. Other order correspondence is reviewed when the purchase, any return and any complaint have been resolved. Information needed for an outstanding legal claim is kept until the claim is resolved and the relevant legal requirements have ended.
Your email address remains on the active newsletter list until you unsubscribe or I stop the newsletter. After you unsubscribe, a minimum record is retained to respect your opt-out and document the relevant subscription history. Unsubscribing does not delete records that must be kept for an order or bookkeeping.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your personal information and for inaccurate information to be corrected. Depending on the circumstances, you can also ask for deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy of information processed automatically on the basis of consent or a contract.
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your particular situation. You can always object to the use of your information for direct marketing.
Contact me at contact@andreasemanuel.com to exercise your rights. Some information may still need to be kept to meet legal obligations or handle legal claims. You also have the right to complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, or another competent supervisory authority.
Providing information is voluntary, but I need the required contact, payment and delivery details to fulfil an order, and an email address to send the newsletter.
Changes to this policy
I will update this page when the way I handle personal information changes. If a change materially affects you, I will provide appropriate notice. If a new use requires consent, I will ask for it before that use begins.
