Remnant is hand turned from locally sourced beech, shaped with inspiration drawn from natural erosion and organic forms weathered over time. Its soft curves and openings create a quiet balance between shelter and decay, giving the piece a presence that feels both fragile and enduring.

After turning, the exterior is charred and sandblasted to reveal the texture of the wood and create a dark, eroded surface with strong contrast against the warm interior of the beech. Both the inside and outside are then finished with oil to bring depth, warmth, and a subtle glow to the surface.

Beneath the burned surface, the textures resemble organic pathways and vein-like patterns shaped by heat, time, and the natural character of the wood, balancing raw texture with a calm and tactile presence.
